Abstract:

Today, international Migration and movements of populations for achieving better living conditions are increasing. EMigration from Iran, though long overdue, has not only increased in recent years, but also a significant proportion of the population is willing to migrating and seeking to move abroad. Thus, the aim of this article is to measure Iranians' tendency to emigrate from the country and its influencing factors using a secondary analysis of micro-data form the National Survey of Social Capital with a sample size of 14200 people living in urban and rural areas of Iran. The results showed that those who are eager to emigrate from Iran are mostly men, single, youth, higher education, with low social satisfaction, middle and upper class, and residing in large cities. Therefore, the majority of people with Migration aspiration are higher educated and skilled people. In conclusion, Migration aspiration has made among the minds of the new young generations. Therefore, it’s expected to increase the international Migration from Iran.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Fine Needle aspiration Biopsy is an effective diagnostic method in the field of medical pathologies. Easiness, accuracy, validity and usefulness of this method have been verified frequently. This method is useful not only for soft tisse or even intraosseous lesions, but also recurrence of tumors (metastasis), resistence to treatment, verification of malignancy, differentiation between malignancy and benignment and determination of organisms causes infection. Unfortunately the use of this method is not common in dental pathology. So this study intendes to show the diagnostic value of FNA specially for intraosseous lesions causing jaw radiolucency. Methods and Materials: This investigation consisted of 80 patients who were referred to Taleghani General Hospital who were then referred to the pathology or surgery departments at Shahid Beheshti dental school.Cases consist of 29 females (36.25) % and 51 males (63.75%). Sampletaking was conducted using a 10 cc, gauge 19 syringe. Results: Results show 90% sensitivity and 75% specificity for jaw radiolucent lesions in FNA method. Correlation between FNA and jaw radiolucencies was significant (P<0.001) and it's power was at equal accepctable level according to cramer's V (phi - cramer's =0.623). Based on FNA cytology power, lesions with positive predictive value of 78.30 had a microscopic view compatible to the findings of other similar studies. Conclusion: FNA can be used as a reliable method for rapid, early and in expensive diagnosis, resulting in an on time, and appropriate treatment plan.

Abstract:

SV aspiration is a potential test for the diagnosis of partial EDO. This procedure confirms the presence of intact spermatogenesis, and rules out more proximal obstruction, obviating the need for testicular biopsy. In addition, SV aspiration can be performed without anesthesia or X-ray in an office setting, and use of dye or contrast medium is not necessary.

Abstract:

Introduction: Thyroid nodules are important because of the risk of malignancy. Fine needle aspiration (FNA), the first diagnostic method in assessment of cytology of thyroid nodules, is a simple, available and cost-effective technique. The aim of this study was to compare the quality of cytomorphology sample, number of cells, the quality of architecture of thyroid papillae and follicles in FNA and fine needle non-aspiration (FNNA) techniques. Material and Methods: 200 patients of Shariati hospital, with palpable thyroid nodules, 1 to 4 cm in size, were recruited. FNA and FNNA techniques were applied to each patient. In a single-blind setting, all specimens were examined by the same cytopathologist. The specimens were scored (0, 1 or 2) on the basis of background blood or clot, number of obtained cells, preserved architecture of papillae and follicles and cellular degeneration. Nonparametric methods were used to compare scores of the two techniques. Results: 200 patients (162 female, 38 male) were entered the study. Specimens from 43 patients were inadequate. In the remaining 157 patients there was no statistically significant difference between average scores in the quality of cytomorphology sample, number of cells, quality of architecture of thyroid papillae and follicles and cellular degeneration in FNNA and FNA. Conclusion: It seems that FNNA is not superior to FNA in the cytopathologic studies of thyroid nodules and there is an agreement between two methods.

Abstract:

Following the importance of studying Migration as a possibility in recent Migration literature, concepts such as "Migration willing" and "staying willing" have been at the center of attention. Migration aspiration is defined as the priority of Migration over staying, which is built into the biographical narratives of the potential migrantsIn this study, we have tried to interpret the information obtained from the narrative interview with some respondents by using the thematic narrative analysis. We selected the participants in a purposive sampling from young people between 20- 40 years old living in Isfahan. The findings show that the themes of willing to leave the homeland in the biographical narrative of the participants can be interpreted in three parts: turning points, anternarratives and proleptic reasons. Turning points are often formed by the narrator's interpretation of a specific action or happening in the past of his biography, which was the decisive moment of his decision to migrate; These actions and happenings drive his aspiration and lead to other anternarratives or reasons for Migration. anternarratives are other reasons for those who aspire to leave their homeland, which originate from rethinking their personal experiences or knowledge and awareness of the context in which they live. Proleptic reasons are also related to predicting the future of life in the destination country or the future of life in the homeland in the continuation of the practical rationality of those who aspire to migrate.

Abstract:

In this study, we investigated the value of cytologic evaluation of ovarian cysts. In a prospective cross-sectional study, we compared cytologic results with pathologic findings in 55 patients with apparently benign ovarian cysts. For functional ovarian cysts, cytology had a sensitivity of 100% and specificity of 90.4%. In endometriosis, sensitivity and specificity of cytology were 66.3% and 100% respectively. In dermoid cyst, sensitivity and specificity of cytology were 100%. In mucinous cysts, we found sensitivity of 90.4% and specificity of 100%. Therefore, in patients with apparently benign ovarian cysts, especially in the centers without adequate equipment or trained personnel for laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, we can evaluate the ovarian cysts by cytologic aspiration and avoid unnecessary laparatomy especially in infertile women.
